The photo of a house in Walukuba is of a typical structure that will be replaced by flats, as I understand it.  These structures have asbestos roofs and the walls aren’t in good condition.

The Brick Machine

This is the website for the big awesome Brick Machine I saw in Jinja.  It is owned by PEFO and they sell the bricks as well as use them to build houses for grandmothers of orphans.

Studio Walukuba is a group of 4 Parsons M.Arch students working together with Slum Women's Initiative for Development (SWID) to build family dwellings in Walukuba Village, Jinja/ Uganda.
